I am Crazy for Spinning!

Now is the perfect time for spinning. The air has taken on a very crisp feel and the leaves are starting to turn colors. I grab my sweater and sit with my wheel and spin. Sitting behind the wheel of my ashford traditional brings me great pleasure. The soothing sounds and rhythms created as the wheel turns and my foot peddles.

So kick off the spinning season right and check out

She not only has lovely batts in wonderful colors but also to dye for hand spun yarns like Godzilla Eats Pumpkins, Magenta Melon, and Lime Paradise.

With October here its also time for sock knitting. Sock sized stitch markers will be up in MissPurl's Etsy shop this week. Look for hearts, stars, and little lovelies to adorn sock size knitting.

August In Review

August has brought many sheep out to play.

With the Sheepy 4 Knitting special I had a fun sheepy guy in a mini flower garden. I had a great time making this set and was very excited to learn that those who received it enjoyed it.

September's special will be up soon and will be a Delightful Buried Treasure theme.

On a September note I am busy making Stitch Markers for the month and am very pleased with how they are turning out. August's blue green club had this great set. The colors were vibrant and lovely.

Lime squares have some smaller cousins that will be arriving in at Miss Purl's later this week. Look for Pleasant Pink, Waters Edge Blue, Cobalt, and Shimmering Air.

August Surprise and Clubs

August's stitch marker surprise and stitch marker clubs are nearing an end.

Both sets have been very fun to make and I look forward to there reveal. I have already been scoping out new things for September,s new surprise and clubs.

The Idea for me is to keep things fresh and creative without burning out on stock sets. These are each unique sets that only have a certain number I will make. At the end of the month if I have any left over I will unveil them and offer them in my store.

Look for the reveal to be after labor day.
